This is my necklace, chances are if there is a picture of me I am
wearing this necklace. It is my most treasured piece of jewelry. It
is the "History of Ireland" told through symbols. Starting at the ?
and working clockwise.
? the unknown past
St Patrick
The round towers (built for worship, but used for grain storage when
the invaders came)
A Viking warrior (invader)
A Norman Soldier (invader)
Dublin Castle (built to glorify an English (invader) King)
King William (Billy, an English dude, so basically an invader) (the
Battle of the Boyne, they lost)
The Union flag(representing English Rule of Ireland)
Skeleton with potatoes, the Great Potato Famine
The emigrant ship
The GPO site of the 1916 Easter Uprising (they lost)
The divided island, showing Ireland and Northern Ireland
coming back to the ? signifying the unknown future of Ireland

I am connected to the history of Ireland, and the absolute tenacity of
the Irish to keep going in the face of adversaries. I do not hold
irrational, misplaced hatred from centuries ago toward Vikings,
Normans, English, or any other group of people.
