Life it too short to be unhappy. Life is too short to put up with cold hearted behavior. Sounds like you did what you had to do for your own wellbeing and that takes courage. Sending you ((hugs)).
The decision may hurt you but trust me there is no way you should be treated that way. Theres just no excuse for that. Either he needs to show that he cares and above all make you feel that or if he can not , its good that you called the shots and decided to do what you did. I know how you feel. But its better to be alone than lonely in a relationship. Lots of hugs to you !
Cold-heartedness is NEVER a good quallity and one that is engrained in someone I think. Your life will open up; just you wait. I'm sure it sucks right now...you'll be fine. xo
