This was a big day! As you might already know I am leaving for Guinea West
Africa in 6 weeks. I go there to study west African dance and drumming.
When I went 2 years ago, and amazing women Marissa (well 9 amazing women)
also came on the trip. Marissa is a teacher and taught her kids to dance,
and decided to have a small fundraiser to help the children of guinea. She
was able to raise 5,000$ that year. With that we sent 20 kids to school for
2 years, including supplies and clothes, and someone to manage the money and
tutor them as well. Last and and again this year she did it again. Only
each year, more get involved, and more money is raised, and help is given to
these kids. It is an amazing thing to be a part of. When you are in guinea,
with the people, you life is changed. You see things differently. It is like
they live off of love there.. because they have nothing else. I have never
felt so strongly about a country and its people, as I do about guinea!

Oh and this video really shows what it is like, and why we do it.. in this
video there are pictures i took, and footage as well.. and even some of me
dancing eek!

Great action in this photo!

And, thank you for getting out there & helping people in need. It's hard to explain how symbiotic that kind of thing is - the more you give, the bigger your heart & your life become.
