She didn't find it or capture it - it walked onto the hands of her and her friend(?!) So she put it in her backpack ("not the pocket with my earings"), brought it home, made a home for it in a towel in her room, then found a jar. She and her friend plan to release it "into the wild" in three days.
Funny thing is, I always end our long list of animals with "and whatever else my kids have snuck into their rooms." But this is the first time it has really happened (that I know of).
We like animals - even had a big crop of stick bugs once.
Amber, both my girls are fine with all sorts of animals and insects MaryFran- she took him back to "the wild" the next day. I heard him scratching at her backpack as she walked down the stairs!

C'mon mom, lizards are cool! Awesome!! What did you name it?
She would have a blast at my house. The So. Cal. heat wave has brought them out in droves.
She'd have to fight my cats for them though.
The question is, are you keeping it????
