I remember being that excited about the first day of school. Ah, to be young again!
I can relate - to having such a cool kid and feeling like a lucky mom. :) Hope he has a stellar year.
I credit his happiness in large part to the amazing group teachers and coaches that he has. Also, an open-minded student body. We are so blessed by his school. Sam has Down Syndrome but they have accepted him and included him in ways that I never dreamed were possible. He's helping to manage the football team this fall. See that letterman jacket he's wearing? He lettered in track the past two years because his high school has a Special Olympics track and field team and they went to state. It's going to be a fantastic year. I'm excited too...can you tell? :-)
