I have a ton of green tomatoes also. But for me, I've had enough ripen and have enough canned, sauced and whatnot, that I've decided that everything else in the garden can either get eaten fresh as we need it straight from the vine, get given away or get thrown in the compost pile.
Put them in a box lined in newspaper and keep them in a dark place. The gases fromthe box will ripen them. You will have to hae me over for green tomatoes too. I've never had them......
