Katrina 69/365
Sunday was Family Day at the museum. I run these events 2x a year. The fall
Family Day is often the least attended of the two, at around 600 people
(Spring usually draws about 1000+). A combination of rampant illness locally
(volunteers, an intern, teaching faculty, AND a costumed Asian Longhorned
Beetle all called in sick), a Patriot's game on TV, and BEAUTIFUL weather
(good weather = bad museum attendance), meant that I only had around 500 or
so. Still a decent turnout, but with all the promo we got, I was expecting
far more. Anyway. Here's a shot looking out into the courtyard. People took
their lemonade and cookies outside and enjoyed our enormous community
mosaic.
