You know, I thought of doing that for my first photo too, but I was too chicken. You rock! Add 2 pounds and you have my weight - sigh - I try to console myself thinking that I am pretty muscular but still - sigh - I'm not that muscular LOL! You can do it! You'll have all of us here to cheer you on. :-)
Thanks! I'm actually down from a high of 198! (and I'm 5'2").
Just started going to the gym last Friday and have been there every day. I'm one of those crazy kids that love the gym - just have a problem making it a habit.
Well ladies, both of you have me beat. I'm starting this year at 208.2 (which is down from my all time high of 315...but still much higher than where I want to be). This is the year for all of us to get to our goals though!
OMG I love the gym. I've been going regularly for approx 4 years. Mine has a t.v. built into most of the cardio equipment, including my favorite: the elliptical. Or else an iPod packed with great tunes helps. Or a really awesome book that you only allow yourself to read at the gym (Harry Potter books!). You have to keep going to the gym to find out what happens next. Anyway, those are little tricks I've adopted. Classes can also help if you get into a slump. Aerobics, yoga, and so on... I am down from a high of 215. Got down to 148 and then climbed back up to 168 and now fighting it back down again. Woah, I just admitted all that on the internet - LOL!! I know 148 doesn't sound that great but that works for me so that's my goal. Maybe 140 if I can do it. I'm 5'5". If you need an online exercise buddy you know where to find me. I am a gym junkie. Dude, seriously, if I can do it anybody can... you should've seen the "old Laura" ugh *shudder* LOL!
TV's in the cardio equipment! That's awesome. I usually listen to Pandora Radio on my blackberry while watching one of the overhead TVs (or I facebook - although I've almost fallen off the treadmill doing that!)
I'm trying to get to 125. At that point I will decide if I need to go lower. I'm okay with the fact that I won't be a size two but I would LOVE to get into the single digits!!!
That just happens to be the exact number I saw on the scale this morning. But I lost 15 pounds over the summer, so I'm pretty happy with it. Good luck to you with your continued weight loss!
