We were both scheduled to work tonight. Scott called off with a killer
headache and flulike symptoms, and I was jealous because I felt equally
crappy but I'm the charge nurse so had to go in. Much to my pleasant
surprise, a colleague (who's a relief charge nurse) showed up unscheduled
for some extra hours and was willing to stay all night so I could come home.
A nice relaxing jacuzzi bath with my sweetie, some hot lemonade, and my
fluffy white robe, and crocheting on this hideous camouflage afghan beats
the hell out of working.
