Long story but I had to ship some samples of my blood to a lab in the US. The true comedy moment of the day was the following exchange:

FedEx guy: "So, can you tell me what will be in your package today, Miss?"
Me: "um...blood?"
FedEx guy: (truly horrified) "BLOOD??"
Me: "Yes, yes it is."
FedEx guy: "...ok, well, you will need a commercial invoice..."

That is funny. I ship blood samples, urine, and even stools for work all the time. Don't worry, you are not the only one. :)

Yeah - We get "Herring Sperm DNA" at my office

so Human blood seems almost tame compared the the life of the Wild Herring Fluffers!

yeah, he did later ask if it was animal or human blood. i figure there must be tons of medical and scientific reasons to send much weirder stuff!

i'm glad it wasn't a stool sample, though.
