Long time no see, Ladies. I haven't been here since "118." Well, actually
I have. I come almost everyday and catch up on the rest of you. I wish I
could have stuck with it but to no avail. I contemplating giving 2010 a try
but I think I am a better follower. I've been watching all of your ups and
downs and good and bad and meetings and greetings. Thanks for sharing with
me and thank you for letting me share what little I could with you.

Best wishes to you all and know that I will be keeping up with you this time
around and maybe I will join up again next time.

Christmas Eve and she is very excited and ready for Santa.

Christmas cookies! The first time my husband has ever used cookie cutters
and decorated xmas cookies. It took 37 years, but now he can say he has
done it. Very cute night. Aubriana and Nick were VERY into their
decorating.

Getting ready for Santa.

This is Aubriana's Christmas present to Nick and I made at daycare.
Chocolate dipped...oreos, twinkie, candy cane, graham crackers, etc.
Wrapped up and topped off with the laminated Aubriana picture ornament.

All day in the kitchen. Cleaning, baking, dinner, more baking. Magic
Cookie Bars, chocolate peanut butter balls and almond roca.

Lab work this morning. They got my blood on the first try. Love that.
They know to go for my hand and not my arms. It just won't work.

Christmas jammies.

Go Lakers. We've spent one or two Christmases at Laker games. Super fun.
When all the hustle and bustle of running around from family member to
family member in So. Cal. was all said and done, it was kind of nice to
ditch everyone and have our own time Christmas afternoon doing what we
wanted to do.

Santa Stalking. That's what we did tonight. In Paso Robles, Santa comes
around with a police escort to see the kids. He normally is pulled by a
fire engine. Tonight he was pulled by a Hummer decorated with Christmas
lights. Two police cars leading the Hummer. Hummer pulling a flat bed with
Santa in his Sleigh, and two police cars following behind. The sirens blare
to let you know they are in your area. We jumped out of the car and Santa
gave Aubriana a candy cane. It was a lot of work to track Mr. Claus down
for a small candy cane and a bad picture. But Aubriana loved it.

Another gorgeous night in Avila.

Top of my tree. There was a break in the rain yesterday and we were able
to run out and grab a tree. Not a big one this year. Just perfect. No
step stool needed to put the tree on top. Today we finally found the box of
Christmas stuff and were able to decorate it.

Comfortable Ojjj??? I put out green pillows on the couch. Nice and soft
and not yet ruined. Nick said to grab the camera. This is what we found.
Head perfectly placed on the pillow. And another between his legs. Uh,
huh. Spoiled much?

Oji's Birthday dinner. His favorite. Chicken, Potatoes and Carrots. No
scraps for this birthday. He gets a full serving of everything. In one of
my serving bowls, no less. I'd like to think he enjoyed the whopping 3.5
minutes it took to inhale all that food.

Happy Birthday, Oji! Obviously a cheat. This is baby Oji. He was 4
months old when we got him. Seems like just yesterday that he was so tiny
and could be easily held. We were told he is part Aussie, part Queensland
and would be 55-60 lbs. HA. He definitely exceeded that! I said he looked
like an African cat. So I looked for an African name. Oji -- "bearer of
gifts."

Oji is our first baby, our only son. We are definitely dog people. Shhh,
don't tell anyone -- this is just between us, but...we speak to him in a
British accent. I don't know why. We never tell him he is handsome. We
tell him he is 'so f***ing handsome." With the accent. We spoon him. We
"smother him with love" meaning hubby and I both hug him at the same time
and put a leg over him. I encourage Oji to kiss hubby's face. A lot. And
he does it and hubby just takes it. We say he likes to kiss hubby more than
me because hubby is a spicy Mexican. I kiss Oji's nose all the time and let
him know if his nose is the 'perfect temperature". I advise him of this in
the accent, of course. And if his nose is cold I rub it with a blanket or
my shirt or sweater and warm it up. Oji is allowed on/in our bed, on the
couch -- pretty much wherever he wants to be. This is Oji's house and Oji's
world. He just let's us live in it.

The cutest cookie bouquet. The CPA's assistant used to own a bakery.
She made these cookies on a stick, decorated them beautifully, and arranged
them in this round vase. I wouldn't dare eat a cookie. Way too nice of a
display to tamper with.
