Went to Marie's daughter's music program tonight at her school. She plays
the violin in the school orchestra. HOLY COW!!! It was WONDERFUL. Marie
made a comment that she thinks it may have even been better then the John
Mayer concert she went to last weekend.
Mark Wood was a special guest who helped put it on. He brought a bunch of
his own instruments that he let some of the kids play. They played
everything from Led Zeplin to Queen to the Beetles to Metallica and about a
dozen other classics.
The dress code was a potpurri of head bands, baggy jeans, red "pleather"
skirts, fish nets, sunglasses, corsets, "whore" boots and just about
anything you can imagine. Lots of different styles and all walks of life,
but they seemed to all come together when they played their instruments. Oh
how things have changed from when I was in school.......

Busy fun-filled day today which resulted in TONS of pictures. We went to my
great-niece's first birthday party and ended the evening with Andrea and K.
Nathan planned our surprise date tonight. Let's just say this, it is really
going to be hard to top this one! Cooter Brown's Music Emporium. $25 a
couple + BYOB + freaking incredible, unbelievable, can't even begin to
describe venue + best friends + blues band + 2 chickens + a dance floor + an
old bus cleaned out so you can dance inside + well....I could keep
going,...you get the picture. We had a FREAKING GREAT time in one of the
coolest places I've ever seen. So in other words, you might see more than
one photo of our adventure for the next few days. Let me just say, "I hold
myself irresponsible."

Tonight, the beginning orchestra had their concert along with the elementary
school orchestra, the middle school orchestra and the high school
orchestra. They all played 'Ode To Joy' together at the end.

This photo of the The Husband was taken last year. Before we went to
bed he was telling me about an issue at work between his company and
another video game company. We went to bed and had some
veeeeeerrrrrryyyyyy good, um, marital relations. When he got up to
get dressed he said "So anyway, we're going to have to have a meeting
to get it figured out............"
