Every now and then our office receives a bouquet of flowers, either from a
patient's family or from the floral shop itself. Today's bouquet was from a
floral shop. I chose to single out and photograph this one flower because
of its uniqueness.

A multicolored field leading up to dense woods. Makes you wonder what's on
the other side, eh?

Today's sunrise in my rear-view mirror. How SPECTACULAR!

Every morning when I pull into my parking place at work, a bush/tree of
these gorgeous flowers greets me. Except when the weather is colder, then
they hide.

This picture (also stock photography taken from the internet) represents
the age group of the patients I care for.

This particular day at work I assisted one of the physicians with examining
one of these ~ a PEG Tube. (This picture is stock photography and taken
from the internet; not a picture of my actual patient.)

This is me, taken at work, before my shift started. I am a Certified
Medical Assistant by day.

This gaggle of turkeys were snapped running across my friend's yard. Good
thing for them that it's not yet turkey hunting season!

This sunflower was made at the festival my son, Hunter, and I volunteered
at. We were in charge of the "Arts & Scraps" booth and during our downtime
we would create ideas for the kids to use in making their own project.

Every Labor Day weekend a neighboring city hosts a festival called
"Arts, Beats & Eats". I happened upon the booth showcasing these
spectacular fabrics and designs and thought to myself "this is what
the festival is all about ~ creativity".

Today's picture was a no-brainer! My 12 year-old son, Hunter, and I
are volunteering at a large festival this weekend and the Budweiser
Clydesdales happened by our booth today. They are the most
spectacular horses on the planet! Wouldn't you agree?

This is 'Flaming June' is a painting by Frederic Lord Leighton and was
produced in 1895. My reproduction has hung in a prominent place in
each of my homes (and there have been many!) since 1992.

She has a very calming influence on me.

Being on my feet all day has its advantages because I burn a lot of
calories. By the end of today, however, they were so tired that the
first thing I did when I arrived home was prop them up! (Thank God
for Cool Max (R) socks!)

I am a Certified Medical Assistant in an office with 7 physicians. When I
woke up this morning and prepared for work this morning, I never imagined I
would save the life of one of our physicians by performing the Heimlich
maneuver on her. Although it was something I was trained to do, this is the
first time I have had to put that training to use.

My picture today reflects that.

My neighbor has the most delicious of flower gardens!

My name is Carrie and I am a 40-something mother, wife, part-time model and
Certified Medical Assistant living in southeastern Michigan, approximately
40 minutes outside of Detroit.

I have five boys (one a stepson and one an angel-baby) that keep me hoppin',
that range in age from 12 to 20, and an incredible husband who works as an
Electrical Engineer in the (eek!) automotive industry. We also have an
awesome black and white, purebred Shih Tzu named "Oreo Cookie". Well, his
name is really "Oreo", but I added "Cookie" and he answers to both.
Actually, he answers to anything as long as you have food in your hand. Oh,
and he's dangerous as there is a high probability that he will either lick
you to death or smother your lap.

I'm a certified SCUBA diver and an awesome snowboarder (hey, I can swoosh
down a black diamond and the only bone I've broken so far is my elbow!),
mountain biker, fanatical boater (we own a *giggle* yacht) and I am
currently the passenger on hubby's Kawasaki Ninja. Which will be mine next
summer. Something about having to learn how to drive it first. Details!

I can guarantee you that you will be seeing a lot of pictures of flowers,
Oreo, and our boat. The rest will be a surprise. To you AND to me!
