This is my drab, dumb, chaotic pantry. This will probably be my next
project. I was hoping for my bedroom next, but I don't think we're going to
be able to spring for that this year. Instead I will paint and organize this
beast. I was sort of thinking making all the shelving and crap white to
brighten it up and the walls behind the shelves like a rust orange color
since I think I will be accenting my kitchen with that. Thoughts? Should I
do the shelves off white instead? I worry it will show too many can scuffs.
Maybe I should just paint the support beams and paper the shelves? Hello, do
we have a Martha Stewart out there? And wait a minute WTF is my camera
taking some crazy ass blurry pictures?

I like idea of light shelves against bright walls, but I think you're right - off white may work better than pure white. Or you could always just get clear-ish shelf liners. :)
