Last week, I finally became eligible for health insurance through my
employer. I haven't bothered signing up yet, mostly because I don't
feel a pressing need and money is tight in the short-term. This
morning while I was taking the dog out, I stepped in a hole and
twisted my foot in an odd way. It's silly, but my baby toe swelled up
over the course of the day and there's a nice band of black and blue
bruising. So, OK, universe, I get it: Don't be lazy and don't take my
health for granted.
