To the left is Mr. Piggy, Gabriel's lovey that's almost as old as he
is (Mr. Piggy will be 3 years old on Oct. 25, the day before my
b-day). This pig goes with Gabriel wherever he goes and is well worn
and loved. To the right, is a brand new piggy (in case Mr. Piggy ever
needs to be replaced). This is what it's supposed to look like. 3
years, lots of baby love, trips everywhere, and many rides in the
washing machine has turned Mr. Piggy into the grayish husk of a pig
you now see on the left.

We had to do this with Jacelyn once but we didn't have a back up lovey. It was a small gray beanie baby cat named Todd. He was missing for a few weeks before we found another one. Our story was that Todd had gone on vacation and had just come back feeling very fresh and relaxed.
We made up stories for months about Todd's adventures!
