Another person had a great shot of a great blue heron a little while
ago, and I decided it was high time I share one of Steve too. Steve
lives in this pond, which is in our back yard, and the pond is nearly
2 acres in size. It is amazing the wildlife we see there. It was
originally a homemade pond made by my husband's grandfather during the
depression, which they stocked with fish that people could fish for a
fee. Now, it is a completely self-sustained little ecosystem.

That may have been my blue heron shot last year, but I like yours better... it's a lot more natural habitat than my neighbor's roof! LOL How nice you get to observe wildlife in such a nice setting!
