Pre surgery blood draw today. So this is the one where you all leave
comments telling me how awesome endometrial ablation is, how the surgery is no big deal, and how it will improve my life for the
better. And I'm getting the ol' tubes tied as long as we're down there
so tell me that's an easy recovery too.

Actually, I am excited to be done with Aunt Flow (She ruined my Labor
Day weekend) but I am a tad nervous. It is surgery after all. Also I
know that there is a small percentage of women where their uterine
lining grows back. I so don't want to be in that percentage!

Wednesday morning I have the surgery. :-)

Good Luck to you!

I had this done in January and it was one of the best things I ever did. Since then, I've had nothing in the way of periods. I still have some very minor cramping and some PMS, but no actual "flow" at all. Before having it done, I was a full seven to ten day a month-like-clockwork-flow-until-I-thought-must-be-bloodless girl. It was ridiculous. I am so glad I did it. I hope you have total success!

Ohhh man I am SO JEALOUS! I want a ligation/ablation like NOTHING else but no one will perform one on me because I'm too young. Bah.

My "come to Jesus moment" as they call it, was last August when I ended up curled up under my desk at work sweating and shaking because I was so miserable and in so much pain. (And I did natural childbirth people - I can usually handle pain.) My doctor and I had discussed this option but I wasn't sure... Dude, after my "under the desk moment" that was the day I made the call. Enough is enough.

Granted, ablation isn't necessarily used for pain relief but my doc says that there's a good chance that getting rid of the flow will greatly reduce my pain. Life is too short to spend it curled up under your desk - LOL!!

So, here's hoping for success!!!! Aunt Flow go visit some other darn relative you aren't welcome here anymore.
