The lovely papier mache box my friend got for me from Kashmir. Being a
student of history , gifts like this always make me go lost in the
pages of history. Note the influence of Persia in the design. This is
an art that originated in Persia around 15th C and finally found its
way to India with the Mughals when they invaded India in 1526.
