Me too! I always wanted one, but never got one. :(
We had a redneck slip and slide made out of plastic and a hose, and we added my mothers dish washing liquid (the whole bottle!) I can still remember all the bruises from that day and hearing my mom yell at me :)
we had the "wet banana" which was the cheap version... always a blast as a kid- because you didn't mind scraping and bruising yourself up on rocks and grass.
i think i would be in traction for a week if i tried that now!
