In January, 2008, I lost custody of my girls due to a drug addiction.
I have been sober for almost a year and a half now. I traded my
addiction to drugs for fish and technology. This is a picture of my 50
gallon fish tank that I set up about a month ago. I have goldfish and
moors in it. Feeding them all goldfish pellets has started to turn my
BLACK moors to orange! ^_^

Congrats on the year and a half!

My mom has been sober for almost 21 years. She says congratulations too.

I've also been sober for 1 1/2 years - we have walked together.:) Regarding your daughters, are you in the process of getting full or joint custody? The women I counsel usually have had some prison time and are now working to rebuild their families. I'm sending much love and support your way. It takes a lot of courage for your accomplishments. xoxo

SR, I used to work with Moms who had lost their children due to "barriers" - addictions, mental illness, domestic violence they couldn't shake - I was part of the "State".

I know how hard you have worked to get your girls home with you and I congratulate you on her sobriety. Just remember to ask for help when you need it, OK? Asking doesn't mean you are weak, it only means you recognize your limits and know when to call in reinforcements.

We want the girls and your expected baby to stay with their mom - where it is best for all of you.

Well done for how far you have come. And...I gotta say...I LOVE the skull in this tank!

@everyone - thanks for the support.
@Reenie - Their father and I are no longer together. I am getting full custody of them back from the state. They were actually in foster care.
@Dawn - I have a great support system in place with friends to call on when I need them. My boyfriend is a great support as well. ^_^
@Rebecca - I am a little obsessed with them. Saw this one and could not pass it up!
