An article that I submitted was supposed to be run in this issue of
ESSENCE (October).
I just got my copy in the mail, and I've looked through it almost a
dozen times searching for my article.
It's not there! I got cut!:(
I've been published in ESSENCE twice already, so I'm not that upset...
but it would have been great to see a by-line of my name in the issue
that comes out on my birthday month.
Oh well.

Wow, that is so cool that you have articles published in mainstream magazines! Hope they get in the next issue!
They could have at least let you know! I would have rushed right out and bought a copy if you'd been in there! :)
Awwww, thanks ladies! I agree, they should have absolutely let me know! Grrrr! I'm still trying to muster up the courage to email the editor and ask 'hey what's up with my article not getting published?,but I'm afraid of getting a flat out rejection or a response like, "we didn't publish it because upon further review, we think it sucked." So maybe it's better that I don't contact her.
