The news of intent to make an offer on my book was followed within hours of
the news of Dad's death. Six weeks later, his flag arrived in the mail the
same day as the contract.
I wish I could share this news with him, see his smile, hear his voice on
the phone - listen to him call my kids silly names like frogface,
monkeyfeet, and stinkerbutt...

(hug)

Through everything he ever taught you, intentionally or not, through every one of your memories of him, through every way that he touched your life and that you touched his - he is there with you.

I know that knowing that is cold comfort, though, when you just want to see a smile again

He is obviously watching over you and will always be involved in the events of your life. Stand strong.

I didn't realize these events came together. Hugs to you! He would be proud.

And I think you'll need to remind your kids of the funny names he called them once and awhile!
