so my starbucks name is angela. i found it really saddening, upsetting and
insulting everytime i would go and my name would be grossly misspelled,
mispronounced or otherwise butchered. i hated walking around with a cup that
said "donet" or "danielle"... UGH. so angela became my alter ego out of
necessity (had it misspelt once: ungela [WTF??]...) angie is also the girl
who you would meet at a bar, club or other noisy place where my already VERY
difficult name (?!) wont be understood, or if i dont want some random dude
knowing my real name. LOL..

Ha, you're not the only one who does that when you have to give your name at a fast food place... I'm "Mary" when I need to be!

That's awesome!! My girlfriends & I would change our names at college frat parties, but for totally different reasons...which I won't go into!!

my friends have a difficult last name, so when they order pizza, they give the name smith.
I remember getting something offical (a money order, maybe?)for someone named Donna (another name you wouldn't think you'd have to spell) and they printed on the form: Dawnah
that's actually a really great idea though! adrienne is butchered all the time...
Oh that's sad and funny. Luckily my name doesn't get butchered all too often but my last name AY AY AY!
"What would be your Starbucks Name?" would be a great Question of the Day on the yahoo group.
I love the idea of being a different person - even just at Starbucks.
