Jacinthe 36/365

Today my youngest son woke up with a lot of pain in is ears. He was grumpy
and not in is normal mood. I wasn't able to have a appointment with our
doctor so I ended up to the emergency. After 5 hours, they told us that it
is viral and to give him tylenol. I came back home without prescription, but
with a big headache and a lot of frustration. I looked like a freak mom in
front of the doctor, and I know that my son wasn't faking it.I hope that it
will end up in a cold...

Awww, poor sweetie. I hope he feels better soon.
Its so hard to tell with ears Jacinthe - Here's my non-medical degree but taught a heck of a lot of kids advice.
Warm Bath/showers with some menthol or eucalyptus oil, A good decongestant every 4 hours, LOTS of fluids and ibuprofen every 8 hours.
Em had terrible ear infections - she had to have tubes put in her ears at 18 months because of chronic fluid, so I know how terrible it is when you KNOW something is wrong.
Also - he's not getting any new teeth is he? His molars? Teeth coming in can cause "referred" ear pain, so ache in the jaw shoots into the ears.
my mom told me to about teeth. right now is on tylenol and motrin since about 48 h and he's doing not so bad. thank a lot for the comment I'm gonna look for new teeth.
