Judy 83/365

I just finished reading this and found it to be a very touching account of
the relationship between Mitch Albom and two diverse religious leaders.
Probably my favorite quote from the book would be when Reb (a rabbi) was
describing the reaction from an atheist physician friend of his who had lost
his brother. He felt he had no one to blame but himself for the death of
this loved one. The rabbi's reaction was that it was a terrible
"self-indictment". It was far
more comforting to think God listened and said no, than to think that
nobody's out there. Personally, at a time in my life of a devastating loss
it was the feeling that someone was watching over me that brought comfort.

What an awesome quote from the Rabbi. That makes me want to read that book even more now. Thank you for sharing that. And it truly is comforting to know someone is watching over you. Not sure I could manage to stay sane in this crazy world if i didn't have that comfort.
