I signed up for the Avon walk for 2010. Two days, a marathon and a half. The walk is really like labor - ultimately, you forget the pain (and the toenails that fell off) and remember the great aspects of it.
Have you done it before? Where are you doing your walk? For me, this was a spiritual experience. the best/hardest thing I've ever done in.my.life. ('ve not had children)
Email me your link & I will sponsor you. Truly, I applaud you for walking!!
Sheila - I just mailed in my form this weekend so I don't have my link - but will send it to you! Thank you VERY MUCH.
I walked last year in Chicago (where I'll walk this year), and it was AMAZING. Sure, there was pain (and toenails that didn't want to stay attached to my feet), but it was an experience I am so grateful for.
I know! I kept all my toenails but pulled my hamstring on the last day. We did the Boston walk in 2001 because they weren't doing them in Dallas yet. Amazing, that is the word for it!
