We (read: Hubby) tried to grow some this summer, because I was excited to see these stalks in my garden. But alas, the cabbage loopers invaded & killed them off.

I let them grow long after the rest of the garden is ripped up for the season then I just seem to forget about them. In fact, there are some out there right now. I should check on them. Maybe they are still okay. But yah, very cool how they grow on the stalk. You usually don't see that in the store....
