I felt the same way the first time I saw the real deal Brussels sprout plant..same with the pineapple.. I was all "NO WAY"

I love sprouts & this is a great shot!

We (read: Hubby) tried to grow some this summer, because I was excited to see these stalks in my garden. But alas, the cabbage loopers invaded & killed them off.

I've tried to grow them two different years but they seem to take forever. I let them grow long after the rest of the garden is ripped up for the season then I just seem to forget about them. In fact, there are some out there right now. I should check on them. Maybe they are still okay. But yah, very cool how they grow on the stalk. You usually don't see that in the store....

I know, I was like a toddler the first time (recently) I saw them on a stalk....

could not quit picking it up and looking at it...so cool, wish I could grow some
