Today around 2 it started to snow, just a little. Figured there was no big
deal since the high was suppose to be 45, ended up only getting to 32. Had
an appointment 15-20 minutes away from home at 3:30 during the appointment
it REALLY started coming down. All I can say is it took me 3 1/2 hours to
get home. Had to drop my car off at a friends because I would have ran out
of gas before getting home and hubby had to pick me up. All I have to say to
the Oregonians out there....If you don't have 4 wheel drive, chains or know
how to drive in snow STAY OFF THE ROAD!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone and I mean
EVERYONE hit the roads once it started really coming down. There was about 5
inches or so that fell in 5 hours. The roads were icy and NO one was
prepared for it. buses and Semi Trucks were sideways on roads blocking
everything and freeways, stopped! Went to bed at 11 and turned on the news
to find that roads were still in the same conditions from when I was out
there at 4-7:30!

LOL Can you tell how frustrated I am? So we get home past the kids bed time but I felt Horrible that the kids didn't even get a chance to play in it because the babysitter wasn't prepared to be at our house as long as she was and wasn't dressed to play outside. so we bundled the kids up, while still wearing their pjs, and played in the show for a bit. Its suppose to all be melted away tomorrow. Sometimes living in the NW sucks!

That playing in the snow in their pajamas is the only thing the kids are going to remember about the day. And, it's going to be a sweet memory for them :-)

Love this pic!

OK, so now I feel bad for bitching about our 2 inches in Dallas!! Poor you -- I know the stress of driving in this stuff is awful!!

I know, crazy weather up here huh? It took me over 2 hours to get home from work - a commute that usually only takes 45 min to 1 hour. I'm just so, so glad I have a truck with 4WD!
