Laura 91/365

This is the day that I found out that Sam's football coach, Brad Agerup,
and his wife, Melissa, were killed by a drunk driver.
I just didn't have it in me to take a picture today. I didn't want to do
anything. I didn't know what to do.
My boss let me leave work early so that I could be with Sam when he got home
from school. I was so worried about him I was beside myself. It turns out
that my worry was not necessary. I cannot say enough positive things about
the way his teachers and coaches handled this news and how they informed Sam
in such a kind and loving way. That school is staffed with some of the
finest human beings I have ever had the honor of meeting. By the time Sam
got home the healing process had already begun.
We spent some time talking about Coach Agerup and we shared some tears
together.
Later in the evening we went to a candlelight vigil at the school in honor
of Coach Agerup.
Compared to most we hardly knew him, but in the two years that we did, Brad
Agerup changed our lives immesurably and I will always be grateful to him
for the opportunities he gave my son.

Laura, I have been so moved by your recent posts. I am so sorry for the loss to you, Sam & your whole community.
This coach sounded like a man anyone would be privileged to know, and I consider you & Sam very lucky indeed. He had an impact on your lives, and the best way I know to show the appreciation of that impact is to live by his example.
I will keep you both, and his children & those of the other family, in my thoughts & prayers.
Laura I am so sorry. We are all thinking of your family.
