Mine is gas/electric as well, but that's with keeping my heat at 58 for approx. 16 hours a day (while I'm at work, and when I sleep). Then I only set it on like 63-65 when I'm up and home....Geeze, wonder what it would be if I didn't turn it down for all that time........

I hope it starts to warm up soon. WE are looking at $270. Our windows are shit and let the cold in, even with plastic up over them. Our house runs at 69 though from 7am to 10 pm every day. then gets turned down to 60. If it wasn't for the kids it would be a lot colder.

Ouch. My gas bill was $200 and electric was $76. I have great windows but an old house that has no insulation. I keep mine at 69 during the day and 65 at night.

The worst part is the old-school mail slot...it's an arctic blast every time you walk by.

Is it bad that I have no clue what ours is?

We have zone heating - two diff thermostats. When the kids are here we spend more time in one part of the house than the other and when they're at school I'm in the other... so, we juggle which one is getting the use. But I wouldn't be surprised if our bill was similar to yours.
