How sad...........More cuts at work. This time a bunch of the over the road
fleet drivers.....
When I first started 15 years ago, the fleet consisted of over 150 trucks
and 150 happy full time drivers who proudly had their names displayed on
their semi door as they drove their shiny "Big Blue" rolling billboards
across the country. It was quite the place to work........ Business was
booming!
Today, the fleet consists of just over 20 trucks, with the threat of cutting
possibly half...... Most of our loads now go out by every Tom, Dick and
Harry that is a contract carrier.......and..........they now are wondering
why it is that business is down? Hmm.......

sad. i can relate - our business is down more than 50% from when i started 5 years ago. but...we are slowly producing more. maybe things are looking up. we've rehired many people that had been laid off.
