I seem to be picking the most unusual (ugly!) colors to paint my nails these
days.
Undeterred by my previous bad choices, I selected a rather startling
metallic blue for my most recent manicure.
Ugly is the new black. :-)

I think it looks great! I love the funky "unexpected" colors.
I like the blue. I wear blue on my nails a lot.
Seriously though, ugly IS the new black, because Glamour was touting this fall's supposedly "hot" color, which is... greige. Yeah. Gray-beige. It looks like dog shit and vomit mixed together, then glooped on nails. So I think you're right about ugly being the new black!
That being said, though, I actually LOVE that blue you've got on your nails. I'd steal it and put it on my toes. :D
