Since I am trying to get over a cold I asked room service to send me up some

Yeah, I'd be eyeing them too. Look way too much like extra large limes.
Did you cut them open? Because I'm really curious just what they were....
They have "normal" oranges in Mexico for sure, but apparently there is a type of "naranja" that is green and not so sweet, which must be our friends here. They were pretty hard so a few days later I did try to cut one open and it wasn't very exciting to eat.
The other day though I had a juice drink made out of this alternate orange and it was pretty good.
