Every few months I have a period that kicks my ass, and this month looks like it's going to be one. Grandma is leaving tomorrow and I have to have monkey and I ready to get on a plane very early Saturday. Bleech
If you're done having kids, then I recommend the surgery I just had. Endometrial ablation. I just had my first post surgery period and it was so minor compared to what I was used to. Think spotting vs. gushing. OMG so awesome. Also I didn't end up in excruciating unbearable pain like my usual periods. I hear that in a few months it is possible I won't have any periods at all. Or at the very least I'll just some spotting once a month. You can't have the surgery if you still want to have kids. Just thought I'd mention it. :-) My period used to kick my ass always. I used to say I had 2 useless days every single month. Now I feel like I will get 24 days back from every year with no more periods!! :-)
We're still on the fence about more kids. We're trying to wrangle our insurance into playing for Mirena which can also significantly reduce length and flow of your periods. It'll be a bit before we know anything though.
