My father keeps bees - he just started this past summer. His father kept
bees too. I noticed these guys today and wondered if maybe they might be
my dad's bees since their house is fairly close to mine, and if they'd bring
him a greeting from me.

What does he do with the bees? For the honey or Bee Sting therapy?
Ostensibly for the honey, mostly cause the bees make him happy.
