I am reading this book right now and it is hard to put down. It is about
the French evacuation of Jews in 1942 and the eventual gassing at
Auschwitz. A good story but at the same time depressing that such
discrimination took place. Pair that with the book I read last week which
was "The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet" which was about the
American confinement of Japanese in concentration camps (a novel) and I
guess you can say I have had my fill of discrimination for a while.

My mom read this for her book club and has been raving about it since then. I don't always consider her recommendations to be something that I'd read, but now that you gave it a glowing review, I will add it to my list.
