I'm using old pics - I've had problems accessing the site since Monday. I
know the problem is on my end. I think I might have it figured out.
Anyway, this was taken in August, right before this project started. The
final day of band camp. This is my youngest, R. I am SO proud of his
musical abilities. Now he's approached his band teacher about learning
stand up bass (think cello). He's agreed to let him give a try - but he
cannot stop playing bassoon. He says his chances for a musical scholarship
will double if he plays bassoon and stand up bass. So...he plays bass drum
in marching band. Bass guitar in jazz band. Bassoon in symphonic band.
And now he wants to teach himself stand up bass. Good Lord!!! And to
think....I can't even read music.
